Actress Mia Maelzer recently participated in a beach cleanup at Dadar Chowpatty, not for a film shoot but to contribute to environmental conservation. This initiative, organised by the Kamala Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust under Ms. Nidarshanaani's leadership, coincided with Ocean Day. It brought together citizens, students and celebrities with the shared of restoring Mumbai's coastline.

The event was marked by enthusiastic involvement from Kirti College, Lala Lajpatrai College, and NSS volunteers. Local residents, senior citizens, and morning walkers also joined in, collecting large amounts of plastic waste and revitalising the beach. The collective effort highlighted the community's commitment to environmental preservation.

Mia Maelzer expressed her excitement about participating in the cleanup. "I was honestly excited like a kid! The beach isn't just a backdrop for our lives. It's part of our soul. Cleaning it with so many passionate people felt like hitting the refresh button for the planet," she said while wearing a cap and gloves, far from her usual glamorous settings but still radiating purpose.

She further emphasised the significance of beaches in our lives: "The beach isn't just a place we visit-it's where the Earth meets our spirit. Today, we didn't just clean a beach. We honoured the ocean." Her words resonated with many participants who shared her passion for environmental conservation.

Nidarshana Gowani actively participated throughout the morning cleanup. She remarked on the importance of such initiatives: "The ocean begins right here, beneath our feet.
