Chandramouli Biswas Death Reason: Popular Bengali band Fossils' Chandramouli Biswas has been all over the news ever since his death news reported. The former bassist, who had been a renowned musician and was popular among its peers, was found hanging at his home near Wellington in Central Kolkata on Sunday. However, it was still unknown why the guitarist, who was associated with popular bands like Golok, Fossils, Zombie Cage Control, took such a drastic step.

Why Did Fossils' Chandramouli Biswas Kill Himself?

Now, according to the primary reports, the bassist was suffering from severe depression for which he took such a drastic step. It was further revealed that the he wasn't earning that much for the last few years which might cause him depression. "We have spoken to his relatives and friends who said he was depressed for some years and was also under treatment," said a police officer.

It was one of his band members, Mohul Chakraborty, who found him hanging in his room and informed police and locals. "Biswas was not taking my calls since morning, and I became worried for him. I called up one of his close friends and both of us reached his home to check on him when we found him dead. It's a big loss for the entire Bengal music industry," said Mohul.

Chandramouli Biswas, 48, was an engineering graduate from prestigious Jadavpur University. He left his promising career to pursue his passion for music. He joined Fossils in 2000 as a guitarist and later became a bassist. He has been an integral part of the band till 2018 after which he left the it due to health issue.
