On Monday (December 1), Zaan posted a note to mourn Chirag's death. He got emotional as he expressed his thoughts on the loss. Fondly calling Chirag 'Chintu', the Splitsvilla star said that he was like a younger brother to him.

Zaan added that losing Chirag felt like something broke inside him.

"Chintu, Chirag my little brother @_ichiragkapoor. You left us and this world too soon buddy. I always loved you like my own younger brother. And losing you has broken something inside me I can never explain.Life is so unpredictable one moment you're here, full of dreams, full of laughter And the next moment, you're gone forever (sic)," the Hamari Bahu Silk actor wrote on Instagram.

"I'm standing here a thousands miles away, My whole body is shivering right now 😭
Wishing the distance never existed. Wishing I could have seen you one last time, heard you one last time, hugged you one last time. But life didn't even give me that chance. And that regret will hurt forever 💔 You were bright, talented, full of fire.You still had so much to do, so much to show the world. Your art, your talent, your beautiful heart. The world deserved to see all of you. You were more than family, you were love, you were light, you were hope my friend (sic)," he added.
