Ahead of the much-awaited show, the band has once again drawn attention by posting a message on social media. In their previous concerts across India, frontman Chris Martin has often mentioned Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah, and it seems that tradition will continue. The official social media handle of Coldplay posted a photo with a caption that was directed to Jasprit Bumrah. Uploading the photo from Narendra Modi Stadium, Coldplay captioned the photo that had a ball design in it, "I think even Jasprit might struggle to bowl with this badly drawn ball, but at least it is almost Spherical. It is such a pleasure to be here at this amazing stadium and to play in Ahmedabad for the very first time. W. X."

It seems Coldplay knows how to attract their audience. Coming to India, they knew most of them were cricket fans. In Coldplay's first concert in Mumbai, Chris Martin mentioned, "Hold on, we have to finish the show because Jasprit Bumrah wants to come and play backstage." Many assumed that Bumrah would actually be coming to the stage. But he did not! On Day 2 too Chris mentioned Bumrah at his concert. On Day 3, Chris read Bumrah's alleged legal letter. He read the letter, "Dear Coldplay, in your first and second show, you mentioned Jasprit Bumrah without permission. It's illegal, you can't mention Jasprit. Who do you think you are, you stupid Englishman? Also, Mr Jasprit Bumrah is the greatest bowler in the whole wide world, and you are just a silly singer."
