India s Got Latent Controversy Update

India's Got Latent Controversy Update: A major controversy has erupted around India's Got Latent, leading to a formal complaint against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija (popularly known as The Rebel Kid), and the show's organizers. It all began as India's Got Latent Bonus Episode 6 premiered on YouTube two days ago.

COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST RANVEER ALLAHBADIA, INDIA'S GOT LATENT TEAM

The complaint, filed with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and Maharashtra Women's Commission, accuses them of promoting obscenity and using abusive language on the show.

On February 9, a screenshot of the complaint was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle @HinduITCell, bringing further attention to the controversy. The complaint has intensified calls for action against the show's creators and participants.

"We have filed an official complaint with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting against Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia for promoting obscenity. Jai Hind," reads the caption.

The uproar began when a viral clip from the show surfaced online, showing Ranveer Allahbadia posing an inappropriate and incestuous question about parental intercourse to a contestant. Instead of shutting down the conversation, fellow panellists, including Samay and Apoorva, engaged with and encouraged the remark.

As the video spread across social media, backlash intensified, with viewers condemning the content as indecent and offensive. The Hindu IT Cell also escalated the matter by filing a separate complaint with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, accusing Ranveer and Samay of spreading obscenity. Critics have also highlighted other issues with the show, including the use of lewd jokes, racist undertones, and objectification.
