India's Got Latent Controversy Update: Content creator Apoorva Mukhija, widely recognized as 'The Rebel Kid' on social media, has been removed from the list of official ambassadors for the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards. The prestigious event is set to take place in Jaipur, Rajasthan, next month.
The decision comes in the wake of a controversy surrounding Apoorva Mukhija's recent appearance on comedian Samay Raina's YouTube show, India's Got Latent. During the episode, YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made an inappropriate remark about parents, sparking backlash.

As a result, Mukhija, who was expected to participate in Rajasthan Tourism's treasure hunt shoots in collaboration with IIFA, has now been excluded from the ambassador lineup. Yes, you read that right!
An official statement from the office of Divya Kumar, Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister, confirmed the move. She is now not officially a part of the list of IIFA ambassadors," the statement read.
HERE'S WHY APPORVA MUKHIJA GOT REMOVED AS IIFA AMBASSADOR
This decision follows strong opposition from the Karni Sena, a right-wing group, which had threatened to disrupt Mukhija's scheduled shoot in Udaipur later this month. According to a report by PTI, the group warned that anyone promoting obscenity would not only face resistance but could also be physically confronted.
The Karni Sena further issued a stern warning, stating that such individuals would be boycotted at the airport and prevented from leaving. With tensions escalating, IIFA's decision to remove Mukhija appears to be a strategic step to avoid potential disruptions at the high-profile event.
