India's Got Latent Row Update: Writer-producer Ved Raj talks about Youtuber Ranveer Allahabadia, also a popular social media influencer who is currently facing multiple legal cases in different states following controversial remarks made during a web show, India's Got Latent.

He said, "The joke or statement passed by the guy was disrespectful, but the reaction from everywhere is horribly overwhelming. It has proven Newton's Law wrong that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. It was a very dated 'Would you rather' joke, though it was not a very first attempt."

Talking ahead he highlighted the fact that the youth generation is more influenced by OTT in comparison to TV.

He continued, "While TV majority of times plays an important role to educate youth about social issues, or keep them connected with their roots via mythological or historical drama. Our shows also teach them the importance of family and relationships on several occasions but somehow the youth are not into it. The OTT has overshadowed our content and influenced youth to watch more bold content."

He added, "The meaning of entertainment differs from person to person. TV as a platform is a huge business and there is no competition. Still, the market is earning good. The household drama is enjoyed and accepted by many."

Allahbadia, widely popular for his YouTube channel "BeerBiceps," landed trouble after a clip of him from Samay Raina's show went viral. The massive uproar over content creator Ranveer Allahbadia's "sex and parents" remark at comedian Samay Raina's "India's Got Latent" show only intensified on Tuesday, with people across the spectrum stepping in to condemn Allahbadia's crass comment.
