Punjabi YouTuber Arrested In Pakistan Spying Case: The Pakistan spying case has taken a new turn! After Jyoti Malhotra's arrest last month, another YouTuber has been detained in the Pakistan-backed spying case. As per reports, Punjab-based YouTuber Jasbir Singh, arrested in the spying case, allegedly had a 'close' link with Jyoti.

According to TOI, Punjab-based YouTuber Jasbir Singh has been arrested by the SSOC (State Special Operations Cell) in Mohali, Punjab, in connection with the terror-link espionage network reportedly backed by Pakistan.

As stated by Gaurav Yadav, the Punjab Director General of Police (DGP), Jasbir was in close contact with Jyoti Malhotra and the Pakistani intelligence officer Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa. Reportedly, Singh maintained his close ties with Ehsan-ur-Rahim (alias Danish). For those unversed, Danish, a Pakistani national and former official at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi, was previously expelled on espionage charges.

As per media reports, post Jyoti's arrest, Jasbir tried to erase all the evidence of communication with the PIOs.

The officials also revealed that Jasbir Singh had even attended the Pakistan National Day celebrations at the Pakistani Embassy in Delhi on Danish's invitation. Reportedly, he interacted with Pakistani Army personnel and digital bloggers there.

"He travelled to Pakistan on three occasions (2020, 2021, 2024), and his electronic devices contained multiple Pakistan-based numbers, now under detailed forensic scrutiny, (sic)" a part of DGP Punjab Police's tweet read.

Jasbir Singh hails from the Mahlan village in Rupnagar, Punjab. He runs the YouTube channel JaanMahal Video which currently has 1.1 million subscribers. He would post daily and travel vlogs on his YouTube channel.

His last YouTube video, shared a day ago, was a vlog sharing an update on the construction of his new house.
