In 2008, he appeared on a show called "Ustaadon Ka Ustaad," which was led by Saroj Khan, Javed Akhtar, and Jaaved Jaaferi. During his appearance, Kapil was ridiculed for his waist flexion. Saroj Khan mocked him, and host Sajid Khan also seized the opportunity to join in the mockery. An old video resurfaced on the internet. In the show, we could see Chandan Prabhakar and Rajiv Thakur along with Kapil Sharma. In the video, we can see judge Saroj Khan saying, "Agar yahi lachak aap comedy me late to..." To this, Kapil replied, "Mam, actually pata hai kya hai, kyunki hamlog ko laga tha comedy to ho nahi rahi, 6-6 number mil rahe..." Sajid instantly interrupted in between saying, "6-6 nahi yar 2-2, 6 1/2 total mila, itna upar mat soch..." Seeing host Sajid Khan mock Kapil Sharma, a user took the video to the Reddit thread with title, "Everything was fine until Sajid "Creepy" Khan legit used his hands to bully Kapil Sharma and uses a condescending tone !! Khoon khol gaya mera to..." The user further wrote, "Hoping mods make a flair for Sajid Khan to remind him and the world again and again what a tool he is. Way too much attitude for hosting an event and making a film like Housefull !!"

To note, While shooting for the movie Housefull 4, Sajid Khan faced s*xual harassment allegations amid #MeToo Movement by multiple women. He then stayed low-key for 6 years. The 54-year-old director later opened up about the allegations and said to HT City, "I thought of ending my life many times in the last 6 years."
