FIR Filed Against Kunal Kamra Amid The Release Of Comedy Special

Mumbai police has reportedly fired an FIR against the comedian Kunal Kamra. Following the same, angry Shiv Sena workers have ransacked the place where the comedy was performed in Mumbai. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said after the release of Kamra's comedy special, "Everyone has a right to perform stand-up comedy. But freedom should not be unrestrained behaviour. Kamra should apologise for his behaviour. The insult of leaders cannot be tolerated. Action will be taken against him as per the law (sic)."

After the case was filed, a source claimed that Kamra spoke to the cops from Tamil Nadu, denying the rumors that he was paid by anyone to target Mr. Shinde. The owners of the Habitat Studio have distanced themselves from being held accountable for comments by performers.As per NDTV's report, Habitat owner said, "We are shutting down till we figure out the best way to provide a platform for free expression without putting ourselves and our property in jeopardy. (sic)"
