Pakistani Actress Mawra Hocane Instagram Account Unblocked: Pakistani artists, including Hania Aamir, Fawad Khan, Mawra Hocane, Atif Aslam among others, and Pak shows had a massive fanbase in India. But in the aftermath of the heinous Pahalgam terrorist attack in April this year, the Indian government banned Pakistani artists in India. Mawra Hocane Instagram Account Ban Lifted In India After 2 Months

Amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, along with the Pak artists' ban, Mawra Hocane's Instagram account has become accessible again in India after almost 2 months.

For those unversed, social media handles of Mawra Hocane, who made her Bollywood debut in the 2016 musical romantic-drama 'Sanam Teri Kasam', alongside other Pakistani celebs, were banned in India in April this year after the shocking terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.

Interestingly, soon after her account got accessible once again in India, we saw that she'd shared a reel, made by one of her fans, featuring her looks from Sanam Teri Kasam, on her Insta stories. The Indian government or the META authorities are yet to address the unblocking of Pak artist in India.

To note, other Pakistani celebs' Instagram accounts, like Hania Aamir, Fawad Khan nd Mahira Khan, remain inaccessible in India.

Previously, Mawra got engaged in a verbal spat with her Sanam teri Kasam co-star Harshvardhan Rane over her 'derogatory' comments on Operation Sindoor. "Strongly condemn India's cowardly attack on Pakistan.. Innocent civilians have lost their lives.. May Allah protect us all.. may sense prevail.. Ya Allah ho Ya Hafizo..#PakistanZindabad, (sic)" she had shared on Twitter (now 'X') in May. Hitting back at Mawra over one of her comments, Harshvardhan had written on his Instagram story, "So much hate in her speech, so many personal remarks. I never mentioned her name or resorted to calling her names. Didn't attack her dignity as a woman. I intend to maintain that standard".

Pakistani Influencers' Instagram Accounts & Pak YouTube Channels Restored Amid Ban In India

Following the 2-month ban, several Indian netizens noticed that the Instagram accounts of quite a few Pakistani influencers have also become accessible in India. Sharing screenshots of their Ig accounts, a Reddit user captioned it, "The ban on pak actors nd handles has started getting uplifted. (sic)"

On the other hand, Pakistani entertainment YouTube channels like HUM TV, ARY Digital, among others, seem to have been restored in India amid the strict ban.

The latest development has left the Indian audience miffed. Netizens have been expressing their disappointment on social media. Reacting to the Reddit thread, one of the Indian netizens commented, "Bring the ban back", while another user wrote, "This is disappointing & embarrassing. If they were gonna lift the ban within days, then why all this drama of banning & all those big statements in the first place." "What was the point of banning them in the first place agar aage jake ban hatana hi tha toh? 🙄 And what's the need of unbanning them now? It's not like we are benefitting in any way by watching their "content" 🙄," one of the comments read.
