Supporters quickly challenged these posts and rejected any link between Payal and the video. Fans have repeatedly alleged the Payal Gaming viral video is a deepfake created with artificial intelligence tools. One supporter wrote, "That girl was not Payal Gaming. Don't spread fake news". Anjali Arora Reacts To Payal Gaming's Viral Video

Taking to her Instagram, Anjali recalled the trauma when an alleged MMS went viral under her name three years ago. She wrote, "Three years ago, I went through the trauma of a fake MMS being circulated using my name. Seeing the same thing happen to Payal Gaming today brings back those painful memories. People don't realise how damaging their actions are. For them, it's a minute of entertainment - for us, it becomes years of trauma. Because of such false controversies, I was removed from good projects and even today I continue to face professional backlash not because of my work but because of lies. It's disturbing how easily fake narratives are believed and how quickly empathy is replaced by judgement. This mindset is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. No woman deserves to suffer for someone else's cheap curiosity or baseless lies". Anjali had captioned the post as, "Main har din us jhooth ki saza bhugat rahi hoon jo maine kabhi kiya hi nahi💔"

Earlier, Payal had also reacted to the viral video and stated, "I want to state this clearly and without ambiguity; the individual depicted in that video is not me and it has no connection to my life, my choices or my identity. What has been most painful is not only the misrepresentation itself but the speed and ease with which a person's dignity can be undermined in the digital space. These actions have consequences far beyond the screen, affecting real people, real families and real life".
