TikTok Ban In USA: TikTok is undoubtedly one of the most popular apps across the globe and it is a multi-billion dollar economy, thanks to the engagements the popular influnencers could brought. The latest reports suggested that the app is now getting banned by Sunday in The United States of America, which contributes to the large portion of the billion-dollar industry, after the Supreme Court of the country rejected the appeal. However, how the ban will be enforced and how it will look like, it is still not cleared. According to the reports, the White House is leaving the matter on upcoming Trump Administration.
Why Is USA Banning TikTok?
The argument by the US Congress came into existence when the threat to national security came under limelight. Lawmakers of the country argued that the Chinese app poses a national security threat. Now, after the nation's highest court rejected the plea of not banning the app, by which many of the influencers in the country earn money, it also mentioned that the app now must find an approve buyer for the US version in order to not face the removal from the app stores in the country. Earlier, TikTok challenged the Congress' decision stating that removal of the app will violate the free speech of its more than 170 million users.
What Will Happen To TikTok After Sunday?
The report suggested that the app will go dark post Sunday unless the Biden administration intervenes.
Earlier in 2020, India became the first country to ban the app over security issue stating that the TikTok including 58 other Chinese apps accusing of "stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users' data in an unauthorised manner to servers which have locations outside India."
