Tom Morello’s Debut Show Ignites Delhi-NCR With A Night Of His Raw Power, Resistance And Revolutionary Rock
National, December 18, 2025: Delhi-NCR witnessed a historic live music moment last evening as Grammy Award-winning guitarist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Tom Morello took the stage for his long-awaited India debut. Produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, the live entertainment experiential division of BookMyShow, the performance unfolded as an electrifying convergence of music, message and collective emotion, marking a defining chapter in India's evolving rock narrative.

From the instant Morello stepped on stage, the amplifier roaring to life, the atmosphere transformed into one of anticipation and defiance. The opening riffs cut through the venue, instantly igniting the crowd. What followed was a performance that was as confrontational as it was cathartic, channelled through ferocious guitar work, charged visuals and a commanding stage presence that held the audience in rapt attention throughout the night.
Reflecting on the impact of the evening, Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer - Live Events, BookMyShow, said, "Tom Morello's debut in India marked a defining cultural moment for rock music in the country. For a generation of fans who have grown up with his music, this was a long-awaited, almost dream-like experience finally coming to life. His work has always existed at the intersection of sound, ideology and expression and witnessing Indian audiences engage so deeply with that energy speaks to the quiet resurgence and growing sophistication of the rock movement here. We're building a live ecosystem that brings artists who don't just entertain, but inspire and leave a lasting imprint, as did Morello's performance last night."
Much like his most iconic global performances, Morello delivered an experience that blurred the lines between artist and audience. The night was set for brilliance as Tom brought his son Roman to perform 'Soldier In The Army of Love' with him, through riff-heavy anthems like 'One Last Dance' and Ozzy Osbourne's 'Mr. Crowley' sharing with the audience that Osbourne inspired his generation and the next, looking at his son. The crowd responded in kind, fists in the air, voices rising in unison, as the music became a shared act of release.
The setlist spanned the breadth of Morello's storied career, featuring Rage Against the Machine anthems such as 'Killing in the Name', 'Bulls on Parade', 'Bombtrack' and 'Know Your Enemy', alongside evocative tracks from his solo project The Nightwatchman, also covering Bruce Springsteen's 'The Ghost of Tom Joad'. 'Hold The Line, 'The Road I Must Travel', and more drew the crowd in further, Each song landed with renewed relevance, amplified by the immediacy of a live audience experiencing his message firsthand for the very first time in India.
In a deeply moving tribute, Morello left the microphone for two songs, paying homage to his dear friend and Audioslave bandmate, Chris Cornell. He explained that he wanted Chris' spirit to fill the space, linger in the air and echo through the audience. He added, "His music is forever with us and will never be outshined."
As the final notes of 'Rock And Roll All Nite' rang out and the crowd erupted into thunderous applause, it was clear that Delhi-NCR had been part of something rare and resonant. Tom Morello's debut was not just a showcase of technical brilliance but a reminder of rock music's enduring power to provoke, unite and inspire.
Tom Morello's three-city India Tour marks the first in a series of defining rock live shows under the banner of Bandland On Tour, an extension of Bandland, the rock and alternative music Intellectual Property (IP) of BookMyShow Live, as it scales its footprint across the country.
