Within days, a mistaken identification connected Zannat to the clip. This led to a surge of comments, messages, and accusations directed at her, with some users repeatedly tagging her in posts related to the video.

The misidentification was entirely unfounded, but the rapid spread of the rumor amplified the online attention she received. The situation prompted Zannat to address her audience directly.
