Sumeera Rajput Death: In a disturbing reminder of the growing threats faced by women content creators in Pakistan, TikTok influencer Sumeera Rajput was recently found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in the Bago Wah area of Sindh's Ghotki district.

SUMEERA RAJPUT FOUND DEAD: WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?

As per reports by Geo News, her 15-year-old daughter has alleged that Sumeera was being forced into marriage and was poisoned with tablets by individuals who had been harassing her for a long time. The daughter believes this was a case of murder and not a natural death.

As the news of her sudden death shocked fans and the digital community, Ghotki Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Anwar Khetran confirmed that the autopsy results revealed poisoning as the cause of death. However, apart from her 15-year-old daughter, no other family member has publicly spoken about the tragic incident.

Police have detained two suspects, Babu Rajput and Muhammad Imran, but no First Information Report (FIR) has been officially registered yet. Authorities claim that an investigation is underway to determine if foul play was involved.

WHO WAS SUMEERA RAJPUT? ALL ABOUT PAKISTANI TIKTOKER

Sumeera, who had over 58,000 followers and more than 1 million likes on TikTok, was known for her engaging family and lifestyle content. However, her growing popularity could not shield her from the dangers that many female digital creators face in the region.

Sumeera's tragic death has reminded many of another recent case-that of 17-year-old Sana Yousaf, another popular TikToker who was shot dead in Islamabad just a month ago. Sana had over 500,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram and was reportedly murdered by a man named Umar Hayat, who had been stalking her and reacted violently after she rejected his friendship proposals.

The deaths of Sumeera Rajput and Sana Yousaf have raised serious questions about the safety of women in the public eye, especially in online spaces. Activists are now demanding stronger laws and quicker legal actions to protect female influencers from harassment, coercion, and violence.
