INCA Awards 2026: INCA Brings 12 Indian Film Industries Together As One; Date, Venue & Other Details

The Indian National Cine Academy today announced the dates for its inaugural edition of the Kalyan Jewellers INCA Awards, scheduled to be held on 15th & 16th April 2026 in Mumbai, marking a historic and transformative moment for Indian cinema.

Conceived as India's first truly unified national cinema platform, INCA brings together 12 Indian film industries under one prestigious academy celebrating excellence in cinema while encouraging deeper collaboration across languages, regions, and creative communities. For the first time, Indian cinema moves beyond fragmented recognition to stand together as one collective cultural force, reflecting the scale, diversity, and global ambition of Indian storytelling.

INCA is promoted by the promoters of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) and SIIMA, led by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, with the Producers Guild of India serving as the Chief Patron. Together, they bring institutional credibility, scale, and a shared vision to establish INCA as a benchmark platform on par with the world's most respected cinematic academies.

Adding further stature to the inaugural edition, Kalyan Jewellers has come on board as the Presenting Sponsor of the 1st INCA Awards, reinforcing the platform's positioning as a celebration of excellence, legacy, and trust; Values deeply shared by both Indian cinema and the iconic brand.

Designed as an academy-style honours system, INCA places credibility, peer recognition, and transparency at its core. The awards will recognise Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress in each of the 12 Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, Gujarati) ensuring equal stature and representation for every film industry. In addition, All-India awards will honour excellence across direction, performance, music, technical crafts, and debut categories creating a balanced framework that celebrates both regional pride and national excellence.
