Inder Kaur Death: In one of the most shocking news from Punjab, the body of Punjabi singer and make-up artist Inder Kaur, also known as Yashinder Kaur, was recovered from the Neelo canal in Punjab on May 19. The news has come as a major shock to everyone as this heartbreaking update came days after she went missing from Ludhiana following an alleged abduction. According to media reports, the body was found around 11 am and was later identified by the family members.

Inder Kaur Kidnapping and Death

The case gained urgency after Inder Kaur's brother, Jotinder Singh, lodged a missing person complaint. Based on the statement, police registered an FIR on May 15 against Sukhwinder Singh, also called Sukha, from Moga, and associate Karamjit Singh. Officers said both were named as accused in connection with the alleged kidnapping and suspected killing. According to the complaint, Inder Kaur left home on May 13 to buy groceries in a Ford Figo car and did not return. When repeated calls went unanswered, the family searched nearby areas and contacted relatives. After failing to trace any lead, they approached the police and reported the disappearance officially.

During the probe, relatives allegedly discovered that Inder Kaur knew Sukhwinder Singh, who lived in Bhalur village in Moga district. Jotinder Singh claimed Sukhwinder Singh had proposed marriage to the singer, but the proposal was reportedly refused. The family alleged that personal resentment over this rejection was behind the abduction and suspected murder. The complaint further stated that the accused had earlier travelled to Canada and had come back to Punjab shortly before the incident, according to an ABP report. Family members alleged that Inder Kaur was taken away at gunpoint and later killed. Police officials said the investigation remained active and that more action would follow once evidence was assessed.

Who Is Inder Kaur?

Born in 1997, Inder Kaur worked as both a singer and make-up artist based in Punjab. Over recent years, the performer built visibility in the Punjabi music scene through independent tracks, stage shows and regular social media engagement, gradually gaining a regional audience and collaborations within the industry.

Inder Kaur released several Punjabi songs that drew attention from listeners across digital platforms. The tracks included Afghan Jatti, Sohna Lagda, Laanedaarni, Desi Sirre De, Sone Di Wang, Kisaan Anthem, Jija, Rich Standard, Aakad and Kado Ti Milegi, among others. Her Instagram account listed 124k followers, reflecting steady growth in popularity before the alleged crime.

As of now, the police is investigating the matter.
