As per Hindustan, the action was part of a larger check at Kashi Toll on Sunday. Officials said Akash Sansanwal was held along with four other individuals. Two Scorpios and two Thars reached the barrier, and when some drivers allegedly tried to speed away and damage the gate, police intervened and detained them.

The calls were reportedly made to seek help regarding his release. Officers including Soumya Asthana, CO of Brahmapuri, and SP City Ayush Vikram Singh were present during the checks, reports said. Their team monitored vehicles passing through the toll.
