Kanye West's Delhi Concert Cancelled; Organisers To Return Full Refund - Here's What Happened
Ye's first planned performance in India will no longer take place, with organisers confirming that the New Delhi concert set for 23rd May 2026 has been cancelled after authorities issued security-related directives, citing a high-alert situation currently in the national capital.

The rapper, formerly known as Kanye West, had been due to headline a large outdoor show in the city, which organisers described as one of the biggest live productions attempted in India, but preparations have now been halted following guidance from government and law enforcement agencies.
Ye India concert cancellation and official statement
The organisers said the decision followed "directives issued by government and law enforcement authorities amid the current high-alert situation in the capital." A detailed statement from White Fox added, "We are deeply disheartened to announce that Ye Live in India, scheduled for 23rd May 2026 in New Delhi, has been officially cancelled following security advisories and directives issued by the concerned government and law enforcement authorities amid the current high-alert situation in the capital. After months of planning and preparation for what was set to become one of the largest live productions ever attempted in India, the safety and well-being of attendees and the citizens of India remains the highest priority. We fully respect and are cooperating with the guidance issued by the authorities during this sensitive time. We extend our sincere gratitude to every fan, partner, crew member, and supporter who stood with us and contributed to this moment."
Organisers stressed that audience safety and public security outweighed months of planning, noting that they were working closely with officials during what White Fox called a sensitive period for the capital, and thanked all stakeholders who had supported the Ye India concert project so far.
Refunds, rescheduling plans and ticket details for Ye India concert
Those who bought passes through the official ticketing platform, District, will receive full refunds, according to organisers, who also said they are exploring fresh arrangements with the artist's team: "We are currently working with the artist's team to secure a new date and venue, and will share further updates through official channels."
The Ye India concert had already faced disruption earlier, as the show was initially set for 29th March but was postponed due to rising socio-political tensions, before being rescheduled for 23rd May 2026 and then cancelled following the new security advisories in New Delhi.
Before the cancellation, the Ye India concert was reported to be close to sold out, with tickets going up to Rs 30,000, indicating strong demand among fans eager to see Ye perform live in India for the first time.
