The contest at Tigre Sports Club ended quickly, lasting only 1 minute and 45 seconds. Florian started fast, looking to rely on speed and sharp strikes, even landing a strong kick to Sangram’s ribs in the early exchanges.

The turning point came as Florian stretched for that kick. Sangram reacted using wrestling timing, caught the leg in mid-motion and took Florian to the canvas. Once the fight went to the mat, Sangram moved calmly into top control and began working towards a tight choke.

From the dominant position, Sangram adjusted his grip and locked the choke further, giving Florian almost no space to defend. After close monitoring by the referee, the French fighter tapped out, confirming a submission finish and adding another result to Sangram’s professional MMA record.

A double Commonwealth heavyweight champion, Sangram again leaned on wrestling skills to guide the contest in the 83 kg category. The camp before the bout involved strict discipline and demanding training sessions, with the approach centred on using experience and technique against Florian’s speed.
