Pretty woman : Ayesha Takia

She is super beautiful and bubbly. You cannot ignore her beautiful , bright smile which can put a sunflower to shame .Her beautiful mane is so lustrous and she is impeccable. Often, well known as the actress with the girl next door, Ayesha Takia has made solitary moves through her modeling and film career . Being the fierce, independent Arian girl, Ayesha has made it big compared to the counterparts of her age in the film industry. Ayesha grew up in Mumbai, the center of the Bollywood movie industry. She comes from a mixed family of various ethnic origins. Her father is Gujarati, and her mother is half British and half Maharashtrian. She grew up speaking English at home and had to learn Hindi for her film roles.

She has been a photographic model since she was four years old. She appeared in a music video, Phalguni Pathak's "Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye", when she was only fifteen. Her video "Shake it Daddy" was a hit which gave her instant recognition.

Her video fame gave her the entry into Bollywood. She signed a contract for Socha na tha, then for Taarzan: The Wonder Car. However, delays in making Socha Na Tha meant that Taarzan released first and was therefore her "debut" film. However, although Taarzan: The Wonder car bombed in the box office, it did not deter young Ayesha from getting more movies in her kitty. She also suffered a depression when Socha Na Tha was shelved for sometime but within no time , she rubbed the dust off her back and was ready to take on.

Hailed as Bollywood's sex symbol, she refuses wear skimpy outfits and indulge in passionate sex scenes in her films. Many actresses have said the same before her, however had to give in, to keep up with the current trend. However this young lady says what she means and means what she says and hence has gone ahead and drawn up her personal contract which states that she will not indulge in raunchy scenes.

Ayesha even turned down an offer that any other wannabe actress would have vied for . She refused the film Neal n Nikki under the Yash Raj banner, as she felt there were too many bold scenes, she would have been uncomfortable doing those bold scenes and that would hinder her acting performance. This was perhaps a great move on her part as the film did not do well at the box office and neither did the Tanisha Mukherjee in question receive rave reviews for her performance apart from some sleazy jokes.

Ayesha Takia is also known for alleged 'attitude' problem. She doesn't get along well with Abhay Deol, co-star in the film Socha Na Tha and was apparently dropped in the movie Main Hoon Na for her negative attitude. However, she dismisses these rumors.

With the release of her new movie, Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota, she was extremely pleased to be directed by Nasseruddin Shah. We just can't wait to watch for great performance in this much awaited Nasseruddin Shah movie..
