There are many comparisons drawn to him as being the male counterpart of Mallika Sherawat. Bold, gutsy and uninhibited best describe his acting prowess. Being labeled as a serial kisser, Emraan is the fastest growing newcomer in bollywood within a span of three years. This blue-eyed boy of the Bhatts has taken the nation by storm in films like Murder and Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Born on March 24,1979 in Mumbai to a Muslim father and Catholic mother. This young hottie, graduated from Sydenham College in Mumbai where he studied graphics and animations.

Emraan made his debut in the film Footpath in 2003 which flopped at the box-office. His next film Murder became a super hit which accelerated the career of Emraan to a large extent. Although just thirteen films old , he has an envyable 100% success rate with the soundtracks of his films. Woh Lamhe,Aashiq Banaye Aapne, Aapki Khashish and Ya Ali are his best remembered hits.Actor Sanjay Kapoor had once commented that Emraan must have been a music director in his past life.

Sharing screen space with some gorgeous women in the Indian film industry, he has been constantly linked with his heroines. Howver, he does accept to have his share of 'mistakes' and is deeply dedicated to his girlfriend of three years, Parveen Shahani. She teaches little kids and has never objected to his kissing on-screen. However, after his engagement, Emraan has boycotted his serial kisser persona and has made it clear that he won't lock lips with his female co-stars.During the making of the movie, Killer, Emraan made the movie's director tell Nisha that he would kiss her while shooting for a scene in which he saves her from a bullet. During the take, while Nisha hesitatingly waited for Emraan's peck, the actor just laughed at the prank.

After locking lips with many Bollywood beauties on the big screen, Emraan Hashmi is now calling it quits. While Anurag Basu's Gangster may be the last movie in which we may see Emraan smooching his heroine, Aditya Datt's Dil Diya Hai will have Emraan indulging in some really bold scenes with new actress Geeta Basra, who is from London. In spite of his marriage plans, this actor has no qualms about intimate scenes. Is it an ironical transition ? May be, yes but for Emraan it's surely no.
