At the age of 18 she was crowned Miss World, she still retains that prized possession, as the sexiest woman in Asia. Priyanka Chopra, who is wooed by every man, is running in the fast track to glory with her acting skills.

The stunning beauty with a juvenile smile was born to the family of Capt. Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu Chopra on 18th July 1982. As her father was in an army she moved from Leh-ladakh in the north to Kerla in the south. She is called as 'Mimi' and 'Sunshine' by her family and friends. The Indian Style Diva is also a good singer and a writer too she has been a playback singer for the movie Barsat. She was the only Indian in USA to have been selected at the state level for the National Opus Honour Choir.

She aspired to be a clinical psychologist or a software engineer. But she was destined to do something different that bought her great fame. After the crowning ceremony she choose to be an actor. She says that in the beginning she was bushed and felt out of place and planned to quit. But now she stands firm with her head held high.

She is diverse actress. She has been seen as a prankster, bubbly girl next door, spy, and even in a villainous role. Within three years in her career she has been successfully noted among the 10 best actresses in Bollywood with her amazing performance in the movies like Andaaz, Bluffmaster, and Krrish. Now showing onscreen in new avatar as a martial arts expert in the superhit remake of Don and a lover in Salam- E - Ishq. She was recognized for her villainous role, and was awarded Filmfare best Villain Award.

Priyanka Chopra though a major super star, with her films with Sharukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachan, is still committed to her first co-star Sunny Deol. She respects him, and is in awe for him and his acting.

She is respected as a humble and loving personality for her supporting hand in many of the charity works for polio, adult education, literacy, thalassaemic children in U.P and churches.

This upright actress believes in courage of conviction and at the same time believes in lucky charm. She is the girl next door, who likes hot chocolate and fudges, listens to R &B music, likes Urdu poetries, hates smelly shoes...so on and so forth.
