Saif Ali Khan: Nawab of Bollywood
By: Nikita C Fernandes
He's regal. He's hot and super good looking. He's undeniably the Nawab of Bollywood. His performances in his latest movies have created another new set of fans . His quintessential leonine face surely makes heads turn. This handsome hunk has taken Bollywood by storm and surely, make critics take back their words when it came to delivering some great performances in Dil Chahta Hai, Hum Tum, Kal Ho Na Ho, Being Cyrus and Omkara.
Saif is different. There 's absolutely no one in the film industry who possess his charm and intelligence ( not to forget, the way he carries pink shirts!) Although, he looked like a lumberjack in his first movie, Aashiq Awara and a dead halt with a string of flops, in the movie Dil Chahta Hai, he proved his mettle and from that film on, there was no looking back.
Saif Ali Khan was born August 16, 1970 in New Delhi, India, into the family of the nawabs of Pataudi. He studied at the Winchester College in England. This cool dude is an ace guitarist and possess an impeccable sense of style.
His grandfather, Iftikaar Ali Khan Pataudi, was the Nawab of Pataudi as well as an accomplished cricketer who played for England and then for India as the captain of the team. His father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, like Nawab of Pataudi Sr., was not only the nawab of Pataudi but also a former captain of the Indian cricket team. His mother, Sharmila Tagore, is a Bengali Indian film actress of note, head of the Indian film censorship board, and a distant relative of the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. His sister is actress Soha Ali Khan has made her place in Bollywood with her super successful film, Rang De Basanti..
Although, his success was slow with a number of flops, Saif Ali Khan made his way through Bollywood being Bollywood's number one actor today. From playing Langa Tyagi, Xerxus / Cyrus Mistry ,Nic Arora or Shekhar Rai, he has portrayed every character with finesse. It's so hard to distinguish Saif from his characters. He has worked in almost all kinds of movies. From comedy to the absurd or action to romance, every character played by Saif Ali Khan has received its justice. Even , the choice of his films have been supremely better than any other actor, Frankly speaking, no actor till date, has worked in so many genres of films. His stylish actor is an envy for every other actor in Bollywood who has yet got to reach to his caliber. With success imprinted all over him, we wish him our best wishes for his forthcoming films.
