Malaika Arora Khan: The Chaiyya Chaiyya babe

Malaika Arora Khan was born on 23rd August 1973 to a Malyalee mother Joyce Polycarp and a Punjabi father Anil Arora worked in the merchant navy. Malaika completed her tenth grade from Swami Vivekananda School in Chembur, Mumbai. Malaika is married to the Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khans brother. They have a son Arhaan. Mallika's sister Amrita Arora is an actress too. She has brother-in-laws in Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Sohail Khan.

Malaika is one of their MTV's prominent VJ"s when MTV India started. She also did a lot of interviewing for the channel. She hosted many a MTV India award function and live concerts. Her tryst with Bollywood started with a lead role in Aaja Meri Jaan. She was made famous with the famous Chaiyya Chaiyya song with Shahrukh Khan in the hit film Dil Se (1998). She went on to do an item number to Maahi Ve in Kaante and Kaal Dhamaal in Kaal.

The films she has been featured in since then are Bichoo (2000), Indian (2001), Kaante (2002), Maa Tujhe Salaam (2002), Kaal (2005). She has focused as a model, actress and television anchor. She appeared on Nach Baliye as one of the judges in 2005. She was a part Nach Baliye 2 too. Her last film till date is Om Shanthi Om, which is yet to be released. She will be featured in special appearance in Heyy Babyy too. She is all set to don her role as producer with hubby Arbaaz Khan. Their first film will be one with brother-in-law Salman Khan.
