Bala Biography

Bala is a South Indian film actor and Director who mainly concentrates in Malayalam and Tamil films. He is best known for his  performances in the movies like Big B, Puthiya Mukham, Ennu Nintea Moideen, Lucifer and among others.


Personal Life
Bala who is the son of late Dircetor and Producer, Dr. Jayakumar. He has a brother, who also a director in South Indian film industry. He is the former husband of playback singer Amrutha Suresh. The couple got married in 2010 and seperated in 2019. They have a daughter named Avanthika. After the seperation of two years, later he married Elizabeth Udayan in 2021.


Career Life
He stepped into the showbiz as an actor in 2003 in the Tamil film ' Anbu'. After the success of his debut, he made his entry to Malayalam film industry in 2009. By playing wide variety of roles on-screen, he became popular among Malayali audiences. He is best known for performances in the  Malayalam movies like Big B, Puthiya Mukham, Ennu Nintea Moideen, Lucifer and among others. After  taking four break from Tamil film industry, he made his comeback to the industry with Ajith Kumar's film 'Veeram'.

Besides acting, he made his directorial debut in Malayalam in 2012 with 'Hitlist'. Billed as an ction thriller the film featured Bala,  Dhruv Sharma, and Aishwarya Devan and Tamil actors  Samudrakani, Thalaivasal Vijay in lead roles.
