Krishna got his first break when he approached Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay not only liked his singing style but also gave him a chance to sing in four films: Rudraksh (song: Ishq Khudai), Rakht (Song: Sach Hai Sach Hai Yeh), Musafir (Song: Rabba), and Deewaar (Song: Ali Ali).

From then on, his journey as a singer began in Bollywood. Since then he has sung various chart busters including the latest Soniyo (from the Heart) from the movie Raaz - The Mystery Continues. In 2008, he also released his first solo Pop album 'Ishq Gali Na Jaiyo' comprising 8 songs. He is renowned for singing in Sufi style.

Location

Krishna is originally from Orissa, presently residing in Mumbai (INDIA). His Father Shri Indramani Beura being an employee of Indian Air Force, he travelled to different parts of the country. He mostly spent his time for about 11 years in Chandigarh, did his graduation from GGDSD College, sector 32 Chandigarh and his post graduation from the Dept of Indian Theatre (Panjab University Chandigarh).

His Father always encouraged him to sing. His mother Shushama Beura wanted him to be a pilot or an engineer or a doctor. But she is a proud mother now. One of his brothers Dipak Beura is a veterinary doctor. His younger brother Pradeep Beura is a software engineer working for WIPRO at the moment. He is the pride of Orissa.

Style

Krishna is known for his very special (often uncommon) style which is very near to legend ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Krishna also accepts that he has a tendency to lean towards Khan Sahib's Sufi style.

Krishna is famous among his fans for his mastery on high notes (tar - saptak) in singing and harkats as well as alaaps; he is one of the most talented singers to hit high pitch notes with ease.

Also, when Krishna hits high notes he has more vibration or bass in his voice in comparison with other singers who hit high notes. He is also comfortable doing low notes (mandra saptak). Along with Kailash Kher and Sukhwinder, Krishna Beura is one of the most famous sufi style playback singers in Bollywood.
