the
nominations
for
89th
Annual
Academy
Awards,
were
announced
by
the
Academy
of
Motion
Picture
Arts
and
Sciences.
The
Oscars
or
the
Academy
Awards
are
by
far
the
biggest
awards
event
of
the
season
in
Hollywood
in
respect
of
grandeur
as
well
as
glitz.
It
is
regarded
as
the
highest
of
honour,
which
can
be
bestowed
upon
in
the
genre
of
cinematic
achievements.
After
sweeping
clean
a
total
of
seven
awards
at
the
Golden
Globes
this
January,
La
La
Land
again
created
stir
at
the
Oscar
having
received
a
total
of
14
nominations.
This
brought
the
movie
at
a
tie
with
two
other
films
with
highest
nominations
received
ever
at
the
Oscar.
The
other
two
films
are
All
About
Eve
in
the
year
1950
and
Titanic
in
the
year
1997.
