The director, who came with a daring biopic on Russian president, Vladimir Putin, will be superimposing his face on a polish actor to give the audience a realistic experience as they watch. The director reportedly used the political figure's face using a machine learning technology from Vega's company, AIO.

According to the reports, the biopic, Putin, is a political thriller where the Russian president is shown as the original gangster ever since he rose to power under Boris Yeltsin. The story revolves around his life and it shows how he became one of the most powerful political figures in the world. From Moscow theatre hostage crisis in 2002 to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the biopic focuses on the ruthless side of the president.

Putin marks the debut of Besaleel in the making of a English cinema. The biopic also makes history after becoming the first film to implement AI, and featuring in Cannes has added another feather to its cap. Talking to Hollywood Reporter, Besaleel confirmed the AI implementation process and said, "We shot scenes of the Russian leader using a Polish actor and used AI technology to overlay Putin's face on the actor, creating a realistic effect in the highest resolution."

Putin is likely to hit the theatres on September, 26 throughout Eastern Europe. German distribution company, Kinostar, is reportedly handling the worldwide distribution.
