'Chastity High' Japanese Drama Series, Netflix Trailer, Release Date, And Other Details

The Official Netflix Asia's YouTube Channel just recently dropped a trailer for an upcoming Japanese drama series titled 'Chastity High'

The plot of the drama series is actually based on a true story. Here are some of the details which readers interested should know.

Plot Details Of The Japanese Drama 'Chastity High'

The story of 'Chastity High' follows the students at a fictional school called Asuran Academy. Article 33 of their rulebook states, "No Student Romances" which is then further enforced by the Principle in the opening ceremony, who states that any student caught partaking in such relationships will be expelled.

The scene then shifts to a girl called the 'Love Keeper' who hides the proof of relationships between students for a fee. She is eventually joined by another boy who needs money and is willing to split the profits of the work instead of ratting her out.

The issue gets even more serious as a disciplinary student body develops that aims to catch any and all relationships. Students turn on one another, distrust forms between everyone, and tensions build high as the two protagonists of the story end up falling in love with each other.

The trailer then gives us the aftermath of it all, when the two protagonists are caught and forced to confess about their love affair, after which a court trial starts claiming that the 'No Student Romances' is a harsh and unethical rule that invades the personal time and lives of students.

This story is based on a real case in Japan where a former student of Horikoshi High School, a real high school in Tokyo, Japan, sued the school for damages because the staff there asked her to 'voluntarily withdraw'. This may also not be the only incident of such a situation in Japan, but it is one of the more talked about incidents.
