'Dragon Ball Daima' Anime Trailer, Release Date, Cast And Crew, More Details

A new trailer just released on YouTube for the upcoming sequel series of one of the most popular franchises in anime history, 'Dragon Ball'. The series is called 'Dragon Ball Daima' and the trailer for it can be watched below.

For those that have been following the Dragon Ball franchise for the past few decades, or those that are looking to get into it, here are some of the things you should know about this upcoming anime series.

Plot Details Of The Anime Series 'Dragon Ball Daima'

A statement by the late author of the Dragon Ball series, Akira Toriyama, describes 'Dragon Ball Daima' as follows, "Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. In order to fix things, they'll head off to a new world! It's a grand adventure with intense action in an unknown and mysterious world. Since Goku has to make up for his petite size, he uses his Nyoibo (Power Pole) to fight, something not seen in a long time. I came up with the story and settings, as well as a lot of the designs. I'm actually putting a lot more into this than usual! Things will unfold that close in on the mysteries of the Dragon Ball world. Hope you all enjoy these different-from-usual battles that are cute and powerful!!"

Cast And Crew Behind The Anime Series 'Dragon Ball Daima'

The story and character design was originally worked on by Akira Toriyama before his passing, but the series will continue on as it will be led by director Yoshitaka Yashima, series director Aya Komaki, character designer Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, and series composer Yuko Kakihara.

Masako Nozawa, the original voice actor for Goku in Dragon Ball will continue her role of voicing the character in the new series. Joining her in the cast list are Koki Uchiyama, Fairouz Ai, and Yumiko Kobayashi.

When Can I Start Watching 'Dragon Ball Daima'

The new anime sequel series 'Dragon Ball Daima' will be released on Japanese television from October 11th, 2024 onwards. The series may become available on other platforms worldwide soon after.
