'Elektra' Actress From 2005, Jennifer Garner's Journey To Cameo In 'Deadpool & Wolverine'

'Deadpool & Wolverine' has been out in theatres for many days at this point. Those that have watched the movie will know that it is filled with many references to Marvel movies and franchises that were either lost to time or never got to see the light of day.

One such Marvel character that made a cameo in 'Deadpool & Wolverine' was 'Elektra' from the movie by the same name which was released in 2005. The actress, Jennifer Garner, not only made an appearance 19 years after the original film, but played the same role of 'Elektra' and managed to pull off the same physique and stunts as the original movie despite being in her early 50s.

She recently made an Instagram post on the matter, talking about how it wasn't easy to reach the level of fitness that was required of Marvel movies nowadays. She talked in the post about how both she and her stunt double, Shauna Duggins had to amp up their training which was led by Beth Nicely once a week. The duo also took boxing classes from Flvco Pichardo thrice a week and participated in many workouts led by Peloton's Becs Gentry.

At the end of her post, Garner wrote, "I didn't know that Elektra and I needed an ending, but Shawn and Ryan did. They are gifted in many ways, but seeing and elevating people around them is at the top of the list. Shauna and I were in heaven on set with them, with my old pal @thehughjackman, @dafnekeen, @channingtatum, @realwesleysnipes. Shooting the fight was so fun, being there all together-truly like a dream. I'm proud of my friends and grateful to be up there with them. Thank you doesn't cut it, guys, but it's a good placeholder until I figure out what does."
