Coincidently, it also happens to be the birthday of Amelia Earhart, a very important figure in history for women's activism and rights. For Lopez's 55th birthday though, she's taking inspiration from a different side of history, as her entire birthday week celebration is themed after Bridgerton, which follows the culture of 1800s British nobility.

When The Party Started And How It's Going

The birthday celebrations started around four days back, from July 20th till today. Horse-drawn carriages could be spotted outside the venue in the Hamptons. Guests could be seen walking in, wearing royal British attire, similar to that of the characters in Bridgerton.

The list of guests who showed up for her birthday also included Jennifer Lopez's mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, who wore a light-blue gown for the event.

After the party, she also reportedly hosted a lunch for many of her guests at Arthur & Sons, sitting alongside her manager, Benny, her sister, and her 16-year old son, Max.

Unfortunately, there was an important person whose missing presence could be felt. Ben Afleck, Jennifer Lopez's husband since 2022, did not show up for either of the two events.

Ben Afleck And Jennifer Lopez Staying Apart

This is not the first time Ben Afleck has avoided an important family event, as the famous actor also reportedly didn't attend the couple's wedding anniversary either. There seems to be a great strain on their marriage, something that Jennifer Lopez's mother already picked up on.

According to DailyMail, Guadalupe Rodriguez told her daughter, "Guadalupe Cut your losses and move on to avoid getting any deeper in this mess". She also felt that Lopez could better focus on her kids and career once she was out of the marriage.

Only time will tell though as to how Lopez, now aged 55, will attend to her current marital situation.
