No Longer Allowed In Another World Ending Music Video Released

The anime 'No Longer Allowed In Another World' just had its ending theme's music video release on YouTube, and fans are already gushing over the full song. The music video can be watched by clicking below.
Some of the fan reactions to the song include an instagram comment which wrote, "I saw the music video. You know, when the lyrics appear, a thread appears like a flowing thread,
and in the second half, the thread turns red, which is really great."
The artist behind the music is Japanese singer Mayu Maeshima who wrote in an Instagram post about the music video, "I want you to enjoy it as if you were reading a novel. I want you to listen to it as if you were listening to a story. With that feeling in mind, I sang this song as if I were writing a story with the feelings of a protagonist. I'm excited to see what story this song will resonate with in your life."
The music video is more of a lyrics video, with very striking and moving visual imagery, with the red thread and two hands being a visual leitmotif. They are important, not just to the music video, but also to the anime 'No Longer Allowed In Another World'.
The red thread is significant as its what the protagonist, Osamu Dazai, tied to his and his lovers hand before attempting a double suicide. In fact, the only reason Osamu continues his adventure in the other world is so he can find his partner with the red thread on her wrist so can finish what he started. It's a very grim thought and a sombre song coming from an anime that otherwise feels very lighthearted.
