Netflix just released the official trailer for an upcoming anime series that acts as a spinoff for the 'Terminator' movie franchise. The series is titled 'TERMINATOR ZERO' whose trailer is currently available to watch on YouTube through the link below.

Plot Details Of 'TERMINATOR ZERO'

This series will focus on the stories told in the early 'Terminator' movies. More specifically, the plot will happen sometime between the events of Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'Terminator' and 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day'.

The story will follow the protagonist Malcolm Lee, a genius scientist who is terrified of the possibility of an A.I. uprising and believes that humanity and A.I. will enter into a centuries long war if nothing is done to stop it. In order to stop the most powerful A.I. in the world, Skynet, Lee creates his own A.I. entity called Kokoro.

In order to stop him, Skynet sends a Terminator back in time to kill him, while the a resistance soldier by the name of Eiko also travels back in time to stop the scientist from launching Kokoro at all.

The series is created by showrunner Mattson Tomlin and will be produced by Skydance.
