'The Frog' Official Netflix Teaser, Release Date, Cast And Crew, Other Details

The official Netflix K-Content YouTube channel just recently uploaded a teaser for an upcoming series that is simply titled, 'The Frog'.

From the trailer's visuals and description, we can tell that this series will be quite the suspense thriller. The liberal use of blood and violence in just the teaser alone means that this series may not be for the faint of heart. For those that are interested or just want to add another series to their Netflix binge list, here are some of the details you should know about the upcoming suspense thriller, 'The Frog'.

Plot Details Of The Korean Suspense Thriller 'The Frog'

One of the big quotes that we got from the trailer was, "If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound?"

While it's not immediately clear how this quote will relate to the bigger picture in the series, it immediately relates to the current situation that the cast of the show find themselves in.

Young-ha is the owner of a small villa in the middle of a forest and tries to maintain a peaceful life while being relatively isolated from the rest of the world. This effort is in vain though, as one day a mysterious guest arrives at his house. A girl by the name of Seong-a, who not only displays quite odd and creepy behaviour, but also engages in violence at almost any given opportunity.

Only when the show is released, though, is when we can tell what the guest's motivations are and whether Young-ha can return to his peaceful life or not.

Cast And Crew Working On 'The Frog'

The main characters Young-ha and Seong-a will be played by Kim Yun-seok and Ko Min-si respectively. There are also side characters such as Sang-jun, an owner of a hotel who will be played by Yoon Kye-sang, and a cop played by Lee Jung-eun who will investigate the odd events surrounding the two protagonists.

The series will be directed by Mo Wan-il, who has previously worked on 'The World Of The Married'.

When And Where Can I Watch 'The Frog'

The Frog will be available to watch on Netflix from August 23rd, 2024 onwards.
