Background Of The Quintessential Quintuplets
The anime originally aired in 2019, with a second season being released in 2021. A finale in the form of a movie was released in 2022, ending the story. After the release of the movie, many new spin-offs of the show were released over the course of many months, telling stories from the manga that were left out by the anime and movie.
The entire series focuses on the stories of Futaro Uesugi and the quintuplets of the Nakano family. Futaro comes from a difficult background, with a mother that passed away, a complete lack of friends, and a father who has accrued a lot of debt. He is academically gifted though, and is given an opportunity to be a tutor. He learns later on that he needs to teach five girls, all of whom are neither interested in him or their own grades. The rest of the anime shows the exploits of Futaro as he tries to earn the trust of the quintuplets so he may teach them and pay off his father's debt.
