Top 3 Highest Grossing Hollywood Films Of This Weekend, August 2nd - 4th

A new month has rolled around and with it, some crazy new box office numbers have come in for the hollywood movies for this weekend. There are some movies that have managed to break records by previous movies in the span of only a few weeks. There are also movies that very unexpectedly managed to reach some really high box office numbers.
Here is the list of the top three highest grossing Hollywood movies of this weekend.
Deadpool & Wolverine - $97,000,000
In domestic markets, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' seems to still be going strong after an insane opening weekend, as in the second week of its theatrical release, the movie managed to almost reach $100 million dollars. While this amount may seem significantly lower than the $205 million dollars that the movie earned during its opening weekend, it is still a very respectable amount and already outdoes many of the other movies that had their opening weekends in the past couple months.
Worldwide, the film has already grossed around $824,075,919, with India specifically having grossed around $9,599,498.
Twisters - $22,650,000
Quite far behind the number one spot for this weekend, but the one of the newest movies which released last month still seems to be doing well as it is currently on its third week of release. While the movie only grossed $22,650,000 this weekend, a far cry from the $81,251,415 on its opening weekend on July 19th, this number has still allowed it to stay in the top 3 and outdo other very notable movies of this year which include Despicable Me 4 and Inside Out 2.
Worldwide, the movie has earned around $274,385,650.
Trap - $15,600,000
Unfortunately for this weekend, it seems that not many movies reached big numbers outside of 'Deadpool & Wolverine'. That being said, it seems one of the latest movies to hit theatres this weekend, 'Trap' by M. Night Shyamalan did manage to reach good enough numbers during its opening weekend to be in the top three.
Worldwide, the movie only managed to gross another estimated $4.4 million, bumping the total up to $20,000,000 for its opening weekend worldwide.
