The movie's opening day, which was on July 3rd, 2024, had seen it earn roughly $77,009,210 and it is still going strong. Currently, the movie's total gross earned sits at $211,102,340.

The movie features returning characters from the franchise, Gru and his adopted kids, who welcome a new member to the family Gru Jr. The film follows the shenanigans Gru Jr. gets up to as the rest of the family has to fend off a supervillain duo, Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend, Valentina.
