'True Beauty' Anime Dub Releasing Soon, Cast And Crew, Other Details

For those that have been wanting to get into 'True Beauty', whose subtitled version released earlier this August on Crunchyroll, but can't because they prefer the dubbed version, there is good news! Crunchyroll just announced that they're adding the dubbed version of 'True Beauty' to the website as well. Finally, we can see the volatile chemistry between Jugyeong, Suho and Seojun play out in English.

No official trailer for the dub has been released yet, so those who are curious or would just like a refresher for what the anime is going to be about, here is the trailer for the subbed version.

Crunchyroll also describes the anime with the following description, "Once bullied for her looks, Jugyeong transforms herself using the art of makeup. When she joins a new school with a True Beauty goddess competition, offering winners the chance of recruitment by entertainment agencies, she instantly becomes a top candidate! But her new identity is at stake when heartthrob Suho Lee accidentally sees her bare face. Will her elite status be short-lived?"

The cast and crew behind the dub have also been revealed. The dub's voice director will be Emily Fajardo, working with producer Zach Bolton and adapter Macy Anne Johnson. The audio will then be mixed by Gino Palencia with the help of engineer Sawyer Pfledderer.

As for the voice cast, Rebecca Danae will voice Jugyeong, Eduardo Vildasol will voice Suho, Mauricio Ortiz-Segura will voice Seojun, Molly Zhang will voice Sua, Veronica Laux will voice Chaerin, Charles Nguyen will voice Juyoung, Reshel Mae will voice Semi, and finally Julie Cleburn will voice Selena.

The best part about this news is that 'True Beauty's English dub is coming to Crunchyroll tomorrow, August 21st, 2024. For those, though, that get hooked immediately after the first episode, the second episode is currently available for the subtitled version, with the third releasing on August 21st as well.
