The official Netflix YouTube channel just recently dropped a teaser for an upcoming South Korean film that will be taking audiences back all the way to the Joseon Era of the country. The film is titled 'Uprising' and will explore the relationship between former friends who end up facing each other as enemies on opposing ends of a war.

The historical South-Korean Netflix film has been described by the platform as follows, "Set in the Joseon era, during a tumultuous time in the aftermath of war, Uprising takes viewers on a gripping journey through the lives of two childhood friends turned adversaries: an enslaved person with remarkable martial prowess who struggles to break free from an unjust servitude, and his master and scion of Joseon's most influential military family. The film examines how the chaos of war impacts the personal relationship between two childhood friends who become enemies."

Cast And Crew Behind The South Korean Netflix Film 'Uprising'

The film is going to be directed by Kim Sang-man, who will work on it alongside writer and producer Park Chan-wook.

The film also has some notable South Korean actors as part of their cast, which includes the two actors Gang Dong-won and Park Jeong-min playing the two main characters and friends-turned-enemies Cheon-yeonng and Jong-ryeo respectively. Other people that are part of the cast list include Cha Seung-won, Kim Shin-rock, Jin Sun-kyu, and Jung Sung-il.
