'Ye', Formerly Kanye West, Sells Malibu House After Severe Demolition

Rapper 'Ye', formerly known as Kanye West, just recently made a sale on his Malibu House. This sale, it seems, has not come without its fair share of complications.
'Ye' had initially purchased the property sometime in 2021 for around $57 million dollars. After this purchase, he spent an additional large sum of cash in order to demolish and remove as much of the house's interiors as possible. This included the removal of the house's ocean-facing windows, kitchen, bathrooms, hot tub, and even the indoor fireplace as well as the chimney.
The house was originally designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize-winner Tadao Ando, and many criticised the rapper's decision to strip the house of its interiors as that may ruin the creative decisions made by the famous architect. In fact, the City of Malibu issued around three notices to stop construction work on the house as a lot of it was allegedly being done without a permit.
To add to the list of unscrupulous activities by the rapper, it seems the contractor, Tony Saxon, that performed the demolition of the Malibu House's interiors is also suing the rapper for underpayment, saying that at least $1 million dollars more are still owed to the contract.
Unfortunately for 'Ye', whatever plans he had for the Malibu House were never brought to fruition as the actor seems to be selling the house. He initially tried to sell the house for $53 million dollars but soon afterwards dropped the price down to $39 million dollars, which is around two-thirds of the original price. This drop in selling price was, of course, due to the fact that 'Ye' ripped out the insides of the once renowned Ando-made house.
Despite all this, 'Ye' has managed to find a buyer, but amongst all the controversies, legal battles, and other news surrounding him, it's hard to say whether he'll be able to make much out of the money he'll get from selling the house.
