The November Man Story

The November Man is a spy thriller film based on the novel There Are No Spies by Bill Granger, which is canonically the seventh installment in "The November Man" series of books, published in 1987. The film is directed by Roger Donaldson, known for his most notable works Species, The Recruit and The Bank Job. 

He previously worked with Brosnan in Dante's Peak. Beau St. Clair once again teams up with Brosnan to co-produce the film. It stars Pierce Brosnan, Luke Bracey, and Olga Kurylenko with the screenplay written by Michael Finch and Karl Gajdusek.

Story Outline

Code named 'The November Man', Peter Devereaux (Pierce Brosnan) is a lethal and highly trained ex-CIA agent, who has been enjoying a quiet life in Switzerland. When Devereaux is lured out of retirement for one last mission, he must protect valuable witness Alice Fournier (Olga Kurylenko). 

He soon uncovers an assignment that makes him a target of his former friend and CIA protégé David Mason, (Luke Bracey) because of information Devereaux has about the Chechen War which was conspired by the CIA and resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent people. 

With growing suspicions of a mole in the agency, there is no one Devereaux can trust, no rules and no holds barred.
