Conflicts in honour of Tibet
Kochi (UNI): 'Conlicts', a one-day film festival, will be held here on July six to mark the 'World Tibet Day' and the 71st birthday of the Dalai Lama. The festival, being organised by Friends of Tibet, Design&People and Kashi, will screen both feature and documentary films on various conflicts at the Kashi Art CafÉ, Fort Kochi. The documentaries to be screened include 'Conflicts: Tibet', 'Miles To Go', 'Naata: The Bond', 'Farenheit 9/11', 'She Write' and 'The Basque Ball: Skin Against The Stone'. Feature film 'Sandstorm' will also be screened.
Describing the start of the Qinghai-Lhasa rail link as a ''sad day for the Roof of the World'', the organisers said they will also hold a ''Golmud-Lhasa Railway Cake Cutting Ceremony'' on July six.
