Jessica in <i>Working Girl</i> remake

The singer cum actress Jessica Simpson is in talks to play the lead role in Melanie Griffith's remake of 1988 movie Working Girl. Jessica is looking forward to play the role of Tess McGill, the beautiful secretary with dreams of being the boss.

The Academy Award winning romantic film, Working Girl of 1988, tells the story of a Staten Island secretary, Tess McGill (Melanie Griffith), who works for a stock broker Katherine Parker. When her boss goes on a vacation, the secretary is able to put her work forward.
