Malcolm McDowell in <i>Halloween</i>

Malcolm McDowell will play the role of Dr. Loomis in the new remake of the classic horror movie Halloween, announced its writer / director Rob Zombie. McDowell will join the previously cast Daeg Faerch, Sheri Moon and Heather Bowen. Daeg Faerch plays the role of a young Michael Myers.

Donald Pleasence played Dr. Loomis in John Carpenter's 1978 original and its sequel. Rob Zombie has written the screenplay. The movie is produced by Malek Akkad, Andy Gould and Rob Zombie and is expected to release on August 31, 2007.
