Scott Burns, who co-wrote The Bourne Ultimatum and was a producer of Al Gore"s Oscar winning documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth", is also on board as executive produce. He will also be penning the pilot for the series.
The as-yet untitled project will see Jolie returning to HBO for the first time since her breakthrough performance in 1998's Gia, which earned her a Golden Globe.
Jolie is currently busy shooting 'The Changeling" with Clint Eastwood in Los Angeles while Pitt is working with the HBO as a producer of the miniseries Undaunted Courage, currently in development.
