Jake Gyllenhaal to star in Untitled Moon Project

Washington (ANI): Jake Gyllenhaal has signed up to star in Untitled Moon Project. The DreamWorks pic will be helmed by Doug Liman, and revolves around a private expedition to the moon and the race for lunar colonization. Mark Bowden, who wrote the screenplay for Black Hawk Down, will be penning the screenplay for the pic.

Liman and John Hamburg originally wrote the script, but Bowden decided to go for a complete reconception of the story, reports Variety. Alli Shearmur, former Paramount co-president of production, will be producing along with Simon Kinberg and Liman. However, before he starts work on 'Untitled Moon Project", Gyllenhaal will next shoot the Jim Sheridan-helmed Brothers opposite Tobey Maguire.
