crime
thrilled
'Die
a
Little'
based
on
Megan
Abbott's
novel.
The
movie
revolves
around
a
schoolteacher
and
her
LAPD
detective
brother
whose
lives
are
turned
upside
down
by
a
mysterious
woman.
Though
the
novel
is
set
in
1954,
the
movie
will
be
based
in
the
present
day,
reports
Variety.
UA
has
set
up
the
movie
with
Richard
Gladstein
through
his
FilmColony
banner
and
Biel's
Iron
Ocean
Films.
Biel's
Iron
Ocean
snapped
up
the
rights
of
the
film,
roped
in
Marcia
and
Geoffrey
Blake
to
pen
the
screenplay,
and
took
the
project
to
FilmColony.
On
board
as
producers
are
Gladstein,
Biel
and
her
producing
partner
Michelle
Purple
for
Iron
Ocean.
Neil
Parris
of
FilmColony
will
exec
produce.
Biel,
seen
most
recently
in
"I
Now
Pronounce
You
Chuck
and
Larry," is
currently
in
production
on
"Powder
Blue"
alongside
Forest
Whitaker,
Patrick
Swayze
and
Ray
Liotta.
